The house flag of the Lithuanian shipping company "Amber Bay Shipping Ltd.", based in Klaipeda, is shown on the company website, as reported by Jan Mertens
The flag is divided per saltire, the upper and lower triangles being green and the two lateral triangles being white. A yellow disc charged with a black V letter is placed in the middle of the flag.
Klaipeda (formerly known as Memel) is the third biggest city in Lithuania (c. 200,000 inhabitants) after Vilnius and Kaunas. It is located on the Baltic Sea, on the opening of the Kurski Bay (Kurskij zaliv). The Bay is nearly completely separated from the Baltic Sea by a thin stripe of land (Kurskaja kosa). The southern part of the Bay belongs to Russia (Kaliningrad enclave).
I wonder if Amber Bay could not be a nickname for the Kurski Bay, since most yellow amber is to be found on the coasts of Poland, Russia (Kaliningrad) and Lithuania.
The colours of the flag of the Amber Bay Shipping Ltd. might recall the green and yellow stripes of the Lithuanian national flag. I hope they do not refer to the alledged green-yellow-green flag of Memel, which was rather the flag of the Mameluks in Egypt. Yellow might also recall amber. The V might be the initial of the company founder or anything else.
Ivan Sache, 13 September 2003

The richest amber deposits are found there;  especially in the Kaliningrad enclave, it seems. The "V" does not recall the word "amber", that's for sure.  Anyhow the colours of the central disk are aptly chosen: a black letter encrusted in yellow. (I recently learned that the older amber is, the whiter it gets.  The variety one usually sees is golden-yellow).
Jan Mertens, 18 September 2003

The company commented as follows:
"National flag is yellow, green & red. Green as our bay surrounded by green plants (trees etc...). About the color yellow you were right. Letter "V" stands, because of family name of owner.
Regards,
Amber Bay"
So Ivan was right about nature's beauties and the company owner's family name. The website lists a Mr. Aloyzas Vilkas as General Manager.

Baltnautic

Baltnautic Shipping Ltd is a Klaipeda based, Lithuanian shipping company founded in 1998.  Website, English version at <www.baltnautic.lt>.
The firm currently operates sixteen vessels of “sea-river type” (mixed coastal-inland no doubt) most of which are registered in St Vincent & the Grenadines, five in Lithuania, and one in Panama. All however are general cargo ships mostly active in the Baltic, the North Sea, and the Mediterranean.  (See the ‘Fleet’ page, upper menu). Besides chartering and agency services, Baltnautic also offers technical assistance and repair.
The image carrousel on the home page offers a view of the house flag.  It can also be seen, less clearly, on this clickable photo: White field, the company logo above dark blue name “Baltnautic” / light blue words “Shipping Ltd” (no serifs); the logo shows a ship’s bow advancing to the right: a light blue stylized hull above white foam on a dark blue sea.
