Neptunus Delfzijl

[Neptunus Delfzijl burgee] image by Jarig Bakker, 8 Dec 2004

Zeilvereniging Neptunus Delfzijl, Groningen province, after image on this website: burgee tapered red - white - red; over all the club's logo. The sail- and rowing club Neptunus was founded in 1876, and became royal in 1976. It has three divisions: yachting, rowing and motorboating; I found only a flag for the yachting division.

Neptunus Delfzijl - equal stripes

[Neptunus alternative burgee] image by Jarig Bakker, 23 Mar 2005

Neptunus Delfzijl - the burgee has no conical stripes, but ordinary straight bars. The site represents them conical but I saw the flag with my own eyes. The burgee on your page is for the yachting- and rowing-divisions of the club.

Neptunus Den Bosch

Watersportvereniging Neptunus, Den Bosch, Noord-Brabant province, after image on this website: flag quartered red and white scandinavian cross-wise; at separation of hoist and fly a yellow diamond charged with a blue letter N.

Nereus, Amsterdam

[Nereus burgee] image by Jarig Bakker, 21 Feb 2008

The Yearbook of the "Rotterdamsch Nieuwsblad" - Wie, Wat, Waar 1941 has two pages with burgees.
Amsterdamsche Studenten Roei Vereniging "Nereus", Amsterdam. Red flag with a white diamond chrged with the club's emblem.
I've borrowed the background of the club's homepage. Nereus is the rowing club of the University of Amsterdam. It was founded 10 Dec 1885 and has always been one of the most important rowing clubs in the Netherlands.
Nereus was an old Greek sea god, father of the Nereids.
Jarig Bakker, 14 Aug 2004

"Nereus", Amsterdam: you write that you took the color from their website, but on your page it is plain red. That has to be bordeaux-red (like Latvia). The attributes in the lozenge should be in natural colors.
Jeroen van Leeuwen, 23 Mar 2005

Corrected image: I've used the logo at this page, while there is a flag here.

Het Nieuwe Diep, Amsterdam

[Het Nieuwe Diep burgee] image by Jarig Bakker, 1 Feb 2008

The Yearbook of the "Rotterdamsch Nieuwsblad" - Wie, Wat, Waar 1941 has two pages with burgees.
Watersport Vereniging "Het Nieuwe Diep", Amsterdam - a blue burgee charged with a red disk. On the disk there are some white or gold smudges, but perhaps that's just dirt from old age. It has no website, but does still seem to exist.
The Nieuwediep (new canal; it's actually a small lake) was formed after the Diemerzeedijk collapsed in 1422. In the 1930's a new part of Amsterdam was built here on soil dug from the place where the new Coenhaven was put in the IJ. The Nieuwediep is idyllically surrounded by the Flevopark..
Jarig Bakker, 14 Aug 2004

The name "Nieuwe Diep"is incorrect, it should be "Het Nieuwe Diep".
The burgee is blue with an orange circle containing "HND" in white or black.
Here is an image with slightly brighter blue than on your site. You can read more about the club here.

Nieuwe Meer, Amsterdam

[Nieuwe Meer burgee] image by Jarig Bakker, 14 Aug 2004

The Yearbook of the "Rotterdamsch Nieuwsblad" - Wie, Wat, Waar 1941 has two pages with burgees.
Zeil- en Roeivereniging "De Nieuwe Meer" (new lake), Amsterdam - a burgee red over white with a white diamond bordered blue, charged with letters NM.
This lake is behind the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam-Zuid. On some other pages is indicated that most watersport activities moved to other areas, closer to the Amstel, the IJ, and the IJsselmeer..

Njord, Leiden

[Njord burgee] image by Jarig Bakker, 21 Feb 2008
adopted 1974

The Yearbook of the "Rotterdamsch Nieuwsblad" - Wie, Wat, Waar 1941 has two pages with burgees.
Studenten Roeivereniging "Njord", Leiden (Student Rowing Club) - blue with a white hoist-diagonal; at hoist bottom and top fly a white swan.
According to the club's homepage it was founded in 1874.
Jarig Bakker, 14 Aug 2004

The flag of Njord isn't exactly as your picture suggests. The club waas founded in 1874, not 1974. That year, 1974, got its predicate Royal or "Koninklijke" From that year on a crown has been added to the flag.
Nico van Horn, 2 Jan 2005

"Njord", Leiden - founded 1874. In 1974 it became royal and the crown was added to the flag. Their website doesn't show the flag correctly. There the canton is countercharged with a crown. In reality the flag is bright blue, with a diagonal white stripe and two white swans; at top hoist a Dutch royal crown has been embroidered.
Jeroen van Leeuwen, 24 Apr 2005

Here is a photo with the flag as it is presently used. Please note the crown at top hoist and the bright blue colors.
Peter van Dartel, Praeses "Njord", 15 Feb 2008

Noord-Beveland WV

[Noord-Beveland burgee] image by Jarig Bakker, 6 Dec 2004
