Meaning:
The pillory is a local monument, the lyre refers to the local marching band and the oranges represent the growing of that fruit and the annual orange festival.

São Mamede de Ribatua was one of the ten communes of Alijó Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes ; it had 586 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 20.11 km².
