Meaning:
The escallop is an attribute of St. James the Elder as local patron saint. The village is also on the St. James Way, or nearby. The horseshoes are about a legend about a horse foot print being marked on a rock, by the same saint. Sword and scimitar allude to the Battle of Cambedo. The fountain represents the local fountain of Facha.
