Shield Argent a flax plant Vert flowering Azure and in chief two bunches of grapes Purpure lieved Vert and in base two trouts embowed Sable garnished Or set in fess. Mural crown argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "BARROÇAS E TAIAS".

Barroças e Taias Commune is one of the 24 communes of the Monção municipality (q.v.); it had 314 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 2.5 km².
