Shield Or a palm frond Gules in pale between a fig branch Vert fruited Purpure and a grape bunch Purpure leafed Vert, in base a hen Gules armed Sable. Mural crown with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with black inscription "SANTA LUZIA - S. ROQUE DO PICO".
Meaning:
The palm frond is the default attribute of any Christian martyr and in this case representing Santa Luzia, patron saint and name giver of the commune. The branch of a fig tree is symbolising orchardy and the grape bunch viticulture. The hen is symbolising local cultural traditions and is alluding to the local hen festival.

Santa Luzia Commune is one of the five communes of São Roque do Pico Municipality. It had 422 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 30,69 km².
