Introduction: Christian Phalange

The Christian Phalange was founded in 2010 as the successor of the Christian Falangist Party of America (CFPA) which was no longer a party, but a "politically active social organization", while still following the same ideology of Christian right. The spelling change from the Falange into the Phalange was explained as the means of further distancing from the neo-Nazism and other similar movements, caused by the evident links of current Spanish neo-Falangists with the neo-Nazi groups. Variant names National Christian Phalange (NCP) and National Capitalist Christian Phalange have been seen at the website since its appearance on the Web, along with the logos of the National Capitalist Party, which might have been originally intended to co-operate with the Christian Phalange, but was actually replaced by it, having been founded by same people and led by the same man - Patricio Cortes Bridges, a.k.a. Pat Bridges, previously the founder and longtime leader of the CFPA, who is also the possible designer of the flags and logos of all these organizations, including the Christian Phalange.

Description: Christian Phalange Flag

The flag of the Christian Phalange is actually one of the flags used by the Christian Falangist Party of America which, in turn, was derived from that of the Lebanese Phalanx, with the schematic tree composed of alternating red and blue segments, so as to display the US national colors. The star on the second topmost segment, which was an optional charge for the CFPA, is never omitted by the Christian Phalange. The shade of red is also darker here. The flag was shown at the organization's website since its appearance on the Web and it was certainly adopted when it was founded.

Possible CP Alternative Flag

CP Alternative flag image by Tomislav Todorovic, 28 September 2013

A possible alternative flag, which was shown at the organization's website since its appearance on the Web, but was removed by mid-2012, was described as the "NCP Liberty Tree Flag" in the alternative text of its image. It was charged with an alternative logo in center of the white field. The logo consisted of a natural-looking tree in blue, charged with a white star upon the trunk and accompanied with red letters NCP just beneath its bottom, all within a red ring.

At the same time, the Liberty Tree logo, with the tree designed so as to resemble the cedar from the flag of the Lebanese Forces, was also appearing in center of a flag-like image, with bottom half blue, charged with the white inscription NATIONAL CHRISTIAN PHALANGE beneath the logo, and the top half white with red rays, the whole pattern somewhat similar to the flag of Arizona; the logo was added a white fimbriation all around to make it more distinctive. On another such image, a similar large white cedar was placed in center of a rectangle divided red over blue by a thin white horizontal stripe; a white star was placed in the top left-hand corner. Neither of these images was ever described as that of a flag, though.
