Marla J. Rowan designed the flag of Spiro. Currently, it flies around the
location of the town hall. This flag appears to be quite old. No further
information.

The flag of Spiro consists of a white field with a red contour of the State
of Oklahoma imposed on it. A red bar, located midway between the northernmost
and southernmost points, begins halfway across the Oklahoma Panhandle and
stretches across to the other side. At its end is an arrowhead with a red
outline around it, going slightly outside of the state's contour. Just outside
of it is a K. Stretching across the northeastern portion and slightly outside of
the contour is the Arkansas River. Finally, just above the red bar after it
enters through the contour is the city's name, SPIRO, in a blocky font.
Clearly, the flag is a reference to Spiro's geography, with its depiction of the
Arkansas River and the arrow pointing to Spiro's location. However, it is
unclear what the K stands for; perhaps Arkansas?
