Shield parted per pale; at dexter lozengy of Argent and Azure; at sinister Or a panther rampant Sable, armed and tongued Gules.
Meaning:
Prints of local seals exist since 1279, displaying a Paschal Lamb guardant. The 2nd seal, probably made before 1300 already displayed panther and lozenges, first in a shield parted per fess, afterward parted per pale. The panther is taken from the arms of the Dukes of Bayern-Landshut (Niederbayern). Around 1600 he was replaced by the palatine lion, which had been misinterpreted as griffin in the 19th century. That version developed in local seals until 1929. The lion appeared in rolls of arms first in 1530. Around 1700 there had been different versions, some with lion, some with panther.

The arms are in use since 1929 without approval. The Palatine colours of the flag are traditional.
