Coat of Arms

Shield Or, in base a lower demi-wheel Gules of a watermill, in chief three acorns Vert connected by a stem of the same, flanked by a wolf trap Gules at dexter and a pretzel Gules at sinister.
Meaning:
The watermill's demi wheel is a canting element. The municipality's name means "valley of mills". Furthermore it is stressing the importance of watermill's in the past. The acorns are representing former Frankenhausen municipality, the wolf trap is representing former Nieder-Beerbach municipality and the Frankenstein kin, the former local rulers. The pretzel is representing the former municipalities of Traisa and Nieder-Ramstadt.

Traisa Coat of Arms

Shield Azure a fess Or charged with three 5-point stars Gules, above a pretzel Or, beneath three bendlets sinister chequered of Gules and Argent.
Meaning:
The pretzel is alluding to the importance of bakeries in the past.
The arms were approved 13 June 1966 by Minister of Interior of Hesse.
