SG Schwaförden Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess; above Gules an embattled wall Argent, crowned by three towers of the same, the two ones at dexter with a cone roof, the sinister tower with a baroque spire, beneath gyronny of eight of Gules and Argent.
Meaning:
The upper half is taken from the arms of Ehrenburg municipality. The gyronny field is referring to the Counts of Bruchhausen. It appears in different colours in nearly every municipality of Schwaförden Comprehensive Municipality.

Meaning:
Blueberries (Latin: Vaccinium myrtillus) are a common wild fruit in the local forests. The gyronny shield is a modification in colour of the arms of the Counts of Bruchhausen.

Ehrenburg Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess; above Gules an embattled wall Argent, crowned by three towers of the same, the two ones at dexter with a cone roof, the sinister tower with a baroque spire, beneath Gules a pair of scales Argent.
Meaning:
Wall and towers are referring to Ehrenburg Castle, name giver of the municipality. They had been already displayed in a district seal from the 18th century, together with the bear paws of the Counts of Hoya. The scales are symbolising the local courtyard of the Counts of Hoya, first mentioned in 1447 and dissolved in 1859. The district (Amt) of Ehrenburg until then covered the villages of Twistringen, Heiligenloh, Neuenkirchen, Schmalförden, Scholen, Schwaförden, Sulingen, Varrel and Barenburg. In 1859 the court moved to Sulingen.
The arms were approved in 1985.

Meaning:
The church is the local parish church, dedicated to St. Catherine. The gyronny field is taken from the arms of the Lords of Grimmenberg.

Scholen Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess; above Gules a church Argent with central tower; beneath Argent three heraldic roses Gules, seeded Or and barbed Vert, ordered 2:1.
Meaning:
The church is the local Lutheran parish church from the 15th century and a landmark of the municipality. The roses are representing the former municipalities of Scholen proper, Blockwinkel and Anstedt.

Meaning:
The key is probably alluding to the Archbishopric of Bremen, although the village was a dominion of the Counts of Hoya.

Meaning:
Leaf and acorns are referring to the court for forestal affairs in Sudwalde-Klageholz. The gyronny shield is a modification in colour of the arms of the Counts of Bruchhausen.
