Rüdesheim Associated Municipality Coat of Arms

Shield Sable a lion rampant Or, armed and tongued Gules holding an oak twig Gules by his dexter arm; mantled Or, at dexter charged with a cross moline Sable and in canton a fleur-de-lis Azure, at sinister charged with a raven statant Sable on doublemount of the same and in sinister canton a clasp Azure; orle of 16 pieces, alternating of Azure and Argent
Meaning:
Lion and twig are taken from an 18th century seal of Waldböckelheim. The lion is also symbolising the rule of the Palatine Electors. The fleur-de-lis is alluding to the Dalberg kin, the clasp to the Boos kin from Waldeck. The raven is taken from the municipal arms of Mandel, but the canting almonds were replaced by a mount. The orle is symbolising the status of an associated municipality. Its tinctures are those of the Hither County of Sponheim.

Duchroth Coat of Arms

Shield Or a bishop statant with coat and mitre Gules holding a crozier Argent in pale by his dexter hand and three golden balls by his sinister hand.
Meaning:
The bishop is St. Nicolas, the local patron saint, recognisable by his attributes, especially the golden balls. A slightly different version of the arms was used until 1981 without approval. The arms are based on a common seal of Duchroth and Oberhausen from the 17th century.

Shield chequered of Azure and Or, in canton Azure a goblet Or with effusing liquid Argent under a crozier issuant Or in bend.
Meaning:
The chequered shield displays the arms of the Hither County of Sponheim. The crozier is an attribute of St. Bernard, the local patron saint. The cup is alluding to the legend of the poor souls being in purgatory.

Shield chequered of Azure and Or, canton Or a raven statant Sable on top of two almonds Vert.
Meaning:
The chequered shield displays the arms of the Hither County of Sponheim. A branch of this family later became Barons of Koppenstein. The municipal arms are based on their family arms, which displayed a black raven statant on a red field on the shield of the counts. The almonds (German: Mandeln) are additional canting elements.

Meaning:
Rüdesheim is administration seat of the namesake associated municipality. The rider is St. Martin, maybe a former local patron saint. The scene is known from a local court seal from 1569.

The banner is white displaying a blue castle on a rock with coat of arms on bottom of the rock, an embowed yellow inscription "Mitten im Nahetal" above from a blue wave. At bottom is a black inscription "Ortsgemeinde" (1st line) "Waldböckelheim" (2nd line).

Waldböckelheim Coat of Arms

Shield Sable, in base an embowed branch Vert with two acorns of the same capsuled Or and flanking an inescutcheaon Gules charged with a 6-spokes wheel Argent, on chief three trees Vert issuant from an impending mount of the same.
Meaning:
The inescutcheon displays the arms of the Archbishopric of Mainz, to which the village belonged between 1279 and 1471. The wheel also appeared on local seals and border stones until the 17th century. Trees and acorns are related to the landscape and the name of the village. The current pattern is based on the local court seal from 1636.

Shield Azure a grape Or with stem of the same flanked by two fleur-de-lis Argent.
Meaning:
The grape is symbolising viticulture. The fleur-de-lis are taken from the arms of the Dalberg kin, local rulers since 1390, de facto since 1400.
