Budenheim Coat of Arms

Shield Gules, on base Sable a knight statant, clad in armour Argent including a helmet with plumes, holding a sword by his sinister hand and a lance with pennant Argent parted by a cross Gules by his dexter hand, leaning at his sinister leg a Baroque shield Argent parted by a facetted cross Gules.
Meaning:
The arms are based on the 16th century seal of the village, which displays St. Pancras, the local patron saint, definitely identifiable by the circumscription. As no historical colours were known, it was decided by the local council, to use the tinctures of the Archbishopric of Mainz, to which the village historically belonged. Klemens Stadler used different tinctures. The cross on the pennant was black and the Baroque shield was golden parted by a facetted cross of the same. In 1956 different arms were proposed, which just displayed the head of a golden lance with a white pennant parted by a red cross, all on a blue shield.

Flag and banner were approved on 29 August 1985. The arms were adopted without approval in the early 20th century.
