Oberhausen Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess; above parted per pale, at dexter Or an oak Vert with acorns Gules on the central peak of a triplemount issuant Gules; at sinister Sable a stork head and neck issuant from a coronet Or; bneath barry of six of Or and Azure.
Meaning:
The lower half displays the arms of the Counts of Lechsgemünd-Graisbach, local rulers in Oberhausen proper and Unterhausen until the middle of the 14th century. The issuant stork is taken from the arms of the Schönpüchler kin in Sinning, whose ancestral seat had been there from the 15th until the middle of the 16th century. The oak is a representation of the forest of Unterhausen, rich of deciduous trees on the peaks of Flachsberg, Stepperg and Buchberg, three local mountains. The triplemount displays the family arms of the Counts of Graisbach and is also symbolising the three former municipalities, which were united in 1972.
