Wildpoldsried Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter parted per fess of Gules and Azure, at sinister Argent two arrows Sable in saltire.
Meaning:
Not mentioned in blazon is the unusual arrowhead of the arrow in bend, being a crescent recumbent. Wildpoldsried was among those municipalities having a low level court. Sebastian of Breitenstein (1522 - 1535), Abbot of Kempten, granted seals to those municipalities. All seals are displayed in a roll of seals from 1561. The arms are based on the seals. The tinctures red and blue are those of the Princely Abbey of Kempten, from which the village was acquired in 1398 together with lordship and castle of Wolkenberg. The arrows are probably taken from the arms of the Lords of Ettelried, who owned large estates in the village during the late Medieval.
