Description of flag:
The ratio is 3:5. It is a green flag, in the lower half divided by two white, horizontal stripes. The lower stripe is slightly broader. In the upper hoist corner is a white shield containing a red arrowhead.
Meaning:
The inescutcheon is displaying the arms of Henning Alverslo, knight and owner of Kaden Manor in 1385. The two lines (fesses wavy on coat of arms) are symbolizing the location of the village between the rivers Krückau and Pinnau.

It is a white over green horizontal bicolour. The green stripe is slightly broader. The coat of arms is in the centre of the flag.

Hartenholm Municipal Coat of Arms

In a silver (= white) shield are black antlers. The green chief is superimposed by three golden fir cones ordered per fess.
Meaning:
The antlers are a canting element, because "Hart" means "stag". The fir cones are symbolizing the vast forests of softwood on the area of the municipality.

Meaning:
The arms are canting displaying a hare (German: Hase) and the hassocks are symbolising the surrounding marsh (German: Moor). <

Lentföhrden Municipal Coat of Arms

In a silver (= white) shield is a mating blackcock in natural colours.
Meaning:
Lentföhrden was first mentioned in 1479. In the past the region is characterized by vast swamps and groves, the perfect living environment for blackcocks. Due to drainage of swamps the blackcocks nowadays have disappeared. There are attempts to resettle them by renaturation. This attempt is symbolized by the blackcock and the green stripes as well.

Nützen Municipal Coat of Arms

The shield is divided by a silver (= white) bend wavy into green over blue. Above are three golden (= yellow) hazelnuts barbed black. Below is a silver (= white) half millstone.
Meaning:
The bend wavy is alluding to the Schirnau, the local mill brook. According to Laur (1992) the name is derived from "nut", the Lower German word is the same as the English word. The name was derived from "Nudzynge" (about 1520) - "Nutzing" (about 1533) - "Nutzen" (about 1650). The number of nuts is representing the settlement cores of Nützen proper, Kämpen und Springhirsch. The broken millstone is alluding to the long lease wind- and watermill of the Blome family in Kämpen. The mill had a great economic importance.

Schmalfeld Municipal Coat of Arms

The shield is divided by a silver (= white) bridge, masoned black, into green over blue. The green field is superimposed by two golden (= yellow) oak leaves.
Meaning:
The main charge is a bridge having three arcs. It is the bridge crossing the Schmalfelder Au. The bridge was built about 1800. The leaves are symbolizing the Schmalfelder Wohld, an arboreous height. The green stripe is symbolizing forestal riches, the blue stripe riches of water.
