According to approval it is a red-white vertical bicolour (see left image above). In use howver is a white vertical monocolour (see right image above). The coat of arms of both is shifted towards the top.

Taching Coat of Arms

Shield parted per bend sinister, above right Argent, beneath left Gules a heraldic rose Argent seeded Or, chief Gules two barrulets wavy Argent.
Meaning:
The municipal arms are based on the family arms of the Lords of Taching, a shield parted per bend sinister of Argent and Gules. The kin was in service of the Counts of Sulzbach and afterwards of the Archbishops of Salzburg between the 12th and the 14th century in the village. The rose is a differentiation of the family arms of the Counts of Törring, which displayed three roses. The counts had been the successors of the Taching kin, probably at the end of the 14th century. They were local rulers of Tengling, which was incorporated into Taching in 1978. And they owned the double district (Bavarian: Hofmark) of Törring-Tengling between 1328 and 1848. The chief is referring to the location on the shores of the name giving Tachensee, a lake.

Banner and arms were approved on 20 November 1980 by district governor (Regierungspräsident) of Oberbayern. The monocolour has never been approved officially..
