Introduction

In the province of Alicante, there are several municipalities that have the Aragonese colours (yellow flag with four red stripes) with the municipal CoA in the center. The municipality of Busot (33,84 km² and 3.021 hab., 2008) is located in the comarca of L'Alacantí (Spanish: Campo de Alicante).

"Bandera de nueve franjas, alternativamente amarillas y rojas,con el escudo municipal al centro del paño. Adoptada por la Real Academia de la Historia en su sesión del 23 de noviembre de 1990.

"Aprobado en la misma sesión que lo fuera la bandera, por la Real Academia de la Historia (en su sesión del día 23 de noviembre de 1990) quedará constituido de oro, un castillo sobre peñascos al natural; mantelado de plata, con un árbol verde terrasado de lo mismo y frutado de oro en cada manteladura; el jefe de oro cargado de cuatro palos de gules."
