Bene-Baraq is situated just east of Tel-Aviv and bordered with
Tel-Aviv, Ramat-Gan,
Petakh-Tiqva and Giv'at-Shmuel. Bene-Baraq was named
after the biblical settlement with that name in Dan tribe share (Joshua 19,45). Population
141,000, most of them religious Jews, many religious institutes.
It holds the rank of municipality. Bene-Baraq has an official
emblem (published in the official gazette (Rashumot), YP
1821, 11 May 1972), .which reflects the religious nature of the
city. It does not have an official flag and uses the emblem on a
vertical blue-white-blue field (~1:3:1) . The desk flag is
bordered in green.

Local council in 1937, Municipality since 1950. Emblem appear
on stamp issued on 3 Nov. 1969 (see: <www.israelphilately.org.il>).
The emblem reflects the religious character of this city and
include the tablets.
